Over the course of 22 weeks, took on the challenge of designing a brewery & theater as well as the building’s structural, mechanical, and electrical systems--an integration of three design courses: studio, structures, and architectural systems. Located on the historically rich and culturally vibrant Mississippi River, this space invites in people--with their respective environments--in order to create experiences and ignite inspiration. Through the use of simple geometries and locally sourced materials, the story of the people and city of Minneapolis takes the forefront. Connecting through views and voids, the building’s surroundings are subtly brought into the space, allowing for a seamless transition to and from the site.
